These are some key events from...all of that stuff. We have to know all this is the right order so....

First is

The Proclamation of 1763
  • That was a law
  • It stated that colonists could not settle land over there in the west
  • This is why the FRENCH AND INDIAN war was fought

Second was

The Stamp Act
  • This was a Tax
  • It put taxes on all printed material
  • This was the kings war of trying to pay for the French and indian war
  • This was in 1765

Third was

The Boston Massacre
  • The colonists in Boston started taunting the British soldiers
  • So the soldiers shot at the colonists, causing a massacre

Fourth was

The Boston Tea Party
  • Samuel Adams and Paul Revere Started this
  • They Threw tea into the Boston harbor, protesting tea taxes

Fifth was

The First Continental Congress
  • Delegstes from all colonies met
  • The discusted problems with England
  • Then they started talking about Independance

Sixth

The Battle of Lexington and Concord
  • The first armed confilct
  • Started the Revolutionary war

seventh

The Approval of the Declaration Of Independance
  • We all know what this is, but just incase, this was when colonists declared independance from England
  • We know the date....July 4th, 1776 (the fourth of July, fire crackers, cookouts?)

eighth

The Battle of Saratoga
  • An American Victory (We won)
  • The turning point in the revolutionary war

ninth

Surrender at yorktown
  • The colonial victory
  • This was the End of of the revolutionary war (YAY WOOHOO...not)
  • Cornwallis surrendered to our, very own, GEORGE WASHINGTON
